Lacrosse Equipment

Whether you're a brand new player or a returner looking to upgrade your kit, here's all the information you'll need about boys and girls lacrosse equipment.

For many new players, renting equipment is a good way to get started. The Vipers have a rental program to help you get properly equipped.

How the Program Works

  • Affordable Rates: We offer competitive rental rates for a full set of lacrosse equipment, including stick, helmet, gloves, and pads (boys) and stick & goggles (girls).
  • Limited Rental Periods: Rent equipment for a season or just for a clinic or camp.
  • Quality Gear: We'll equip you with the right equipment for your player's size and skill level.

Benefits of Renting

  • Reduces the initial cost barrier for new players.
  • Allows growing players to use properly sized equipment without frequent purchases.
  • Provides a sustainable option for occasional players or those trying out the sport.
  • Helps families manage costs for multiple children playing lacrosse.

How to Rent

To take advantage of our equipment rental program:

  1. When you sign up for a season, camp or clinic at sfvlacrosse.org rental equipment will be available as an option for you to select while registering. Check the box to add it to your cart.
  2. Equipment will be provided and custom fit to your player at the first practice.
  3. We will take a deposit check when the equipment is issued that we hold until it is returned on the last day of the season.

Please note that only full equipment packages are available. We do not rent individual items (e.g., just a helmet).

If you'd like to buy your own equipment, or if you already have some equipment and just want to round out your package, here's what you'll need and a few ideas of where to get it:

 Girls Required Equipment

  • Goggles
  • Stick
  • Mouth Guard

Optional but strongly recommended:

  • Cleats (football or soccer style)

Boys Required Equipment

  • Stick
  • Helmet
  • Gloves
  • Elbow Pads
  • Shoulder Pads
  • Mouth Guard
  • Protective Athletic Cup

Optional but strongly recomended:

  • Cleats (football or soccer style)

Please note: due to a change of rules, all shoulder pads now require a "NOCSAE Certified" stamp. Most shoulder pads made before 2021 will not qualify and must be replaced. Be extra careful if purchasing used shoulder pads.
